Project Management Office (PMO)
The use of the term “PMO” has increased significantly in recent years, often without a clear definition of the objectives, benefits and tasks. However, a well-defined PMO offers enormous opportunities. Project Management Offices have emerged in many companies in recent years, albeit in very different forms. We distinguish between the following levels:
- Simple Project Office (PO): Provides administrative support for individual projects, e.g. through reporting, project controlling and infrastructure.
- Project Management Office at divisional level: Has additional coordinating tasks in multi-project or program management, e.g. consolidated project controlling and resource management.
- Strategic PMO at company level: Concentrates cross-project tasks in a central PMO that can implement the operational management of the company-wide portfolio in a uniform manner.

Project Management Institute (PMI)
PMI is the world’s largest project management organization, represented in over 200 countries. As the publisher of the “Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide)”, PMI has made a significant contribution to standardization in project management.
PMI Germany Chapter
The PMI Frankfurt Chapter, founded in 1988, was the first PMI organization in Europe. On the website you will also find information about the Local Group Hamburg, which was founded in 2001 by Thomas Kopsch and which he led until 2023.
GPM (German Association for Project Management)
With over 6,600 members, GPM is the largest competence network for project management experts in Europe. The GPM is networked worldwide via the umbrella organization IPMA.
PRINCE2
PRINCE2 is a de facto European standard in project management that has become increasingly important in recent years.

IT Service Management Forum (itSMF)
itSMF Deutschland e.V. is one of the 40 national chapters of the international itSMF. The association aims to improve and further develop the de facto standard ITIL® in order to enable companies to apply professional IT service management.

Optimized project management
We offer optimized project management according to international standards such as PMI or PRINCE2. This includes setting up and operating a PMO, coaching project managers and supporting the development of a clearly structured process model for projects.
Process model in project management
A process model prevents having to reinvent the wheel over and over again and makes it easier to start projects. It helps everyone involved to know what needs to be done, when and in what order. A well-documented set of rules also makes it easier to change employees or involve external partners.
A process model should include:
- Organizational structure
- Processes
- methods
- Guidelines
- Software and tools
- Document templates

Project coaching
Our project coaching supports your employees so that the know-how stays in your company. Particularly suitable for employees with potential but without the necessary experience. An experienced coach helps to guide project managers to success by imparting calm, experience and problem-solving skills.
Project development in innovation cooperation
Innovation is often the result of cooperation between specialized companies. The “interface competence” is becoming increasingly important in order to coordinate different partners in a targeted manner. We support companies in bringing together innovative IT with the needs of their customers and accompany the implementation of project outlines if all stakeholders agree.
Offers are aimed at:
- Technology push: Companies that want to secure competitive advantages through technological innovations.
- Demand pull: Technology-oriented companies that want to realize their innovations with customer companies.

Change management
Every major project involves changes in processes or organizations that need to be accepted and implemented. We support you in creating a “wind in the right direction” through positive communication and accompanying measures. Our neutral support helps to avoid operational blindness or interest-driven conflicts.
Effective communication in the change process
The type of communication that drives a change process forward differs from traditional communication in project management. It is less about providing factual information and more about motivating and convincing people. Verbal persuasion by managers in smaller or larger groups is particularly important.
Development of the environment
A project is always embedded in an environment. We help to analyze and optimize the framework conditions to ensure the success of projects. This includes:
- Customer management (internal and external)
- Project portfolio management
- Resource management
- Budget control
- Commitment of the management
- Optimization of communication and project culture

Well-structured and well-communicated project management makes a decisive contribution to the success of a company. With customized solutions and a clear process model, we offer you support that is specifically tailored to your needs. Contact us for individual solutions.
