The aim of this project is to introduce a scalable open source e-file. vero is responsible for controlling and steering the planning and is therefore responsible for ongoing quality assurance, deadline management and personnel deployment planning. Our project manager also acts as the interface between internal and external participants and stakeholders. Regular cost and progress checks are carried out to ensure that the digitalization project is successful. Ultimately, the successful project should ensure a synopsis and transparency.

Six projects were monitored and analyzed in terms of their progress as part of programme management. This involved regular status checks, bilateral discussions and the definition and follow-up of measures to ensure deliveries. Meaningful reports were prepared to support the steering committees, risks were escalated at an early stage and effective stakeholder and information management was carried out. In addition, processes and templates for monitoring were introduced and project personnel were instructed accordingly.

This assignment mainly involved server migration, software implementation and the development of a sustainable IT project management infrastructure. The project management was responsible for motivating and informing the management level and the respective teams and establishing the necessary internal communication channels. In addition to creating work packages, the project management team was also responsible for monitoring the budget and procurement processes. Ultimately, milestones were reached on time, complex problems were solved and the project was saved.

In this special program, the task was to consolidate and document the IT landscape by structuring, relaunching, advancing and completing a strategic project. The project management created the necessary internal structures and ensured successful communication, the allocation of clear responsibilities and budget control. At the end of the project, the defined milestones were achieved on time and the planned expenditure was undercut by a total of 24%. The company also succeeded in introducing a “documentation culture”.

As part of the project, clear tasks were initially clarified and standardized project management processes were established within the team, including a method kit, further training and service provider management. Together with the university management, a project portfolio management system was set up to ensure transparency, prioritization and organizational regulations. At the same time, IT infrastructure projects were managed and support structures and knowledge transfer were implemented as part of an ERP introduction. The result was a structured approach, improved reporting processes and the sustainable qualification of a project management team.

With the help of our project management, an interdisciplinary team of central project participants developed a standardized procedure that incorporated existing internal know-how. The results were presented at a management meeting and then rolled out throughout the company. This created a uniform project culture with clear standards. In addition, a central toolbox was introduced, which will be used in all projects in future.

In this project, we took over the project management for a joint venture in the area of print on demand. Our task was to create a detailed work breakdown structure (WBS) that defined the overall scope of the project. This included the development of a business plan, the drafting of contracts, marketing strategies, business processes, IT systems and their integration as well as personnel management.

We created a new project plan for the introduction of an ERP system in cosmetics production and direct sales, which served as the basis for project controlling. We monitored progress, controlled costs, ensured quality and improved communication between the process owners and the supplier’s business analysts.

We introduced a PRINCE2-based project management methodology in the public sector. Our tasks included a comprehensive inventory, the introduction of a project management procedure model, organizational development, the use and configuration of SharePoint, the creation of document templates, the establishment of the PMO and the training of all employees involved.

In this project in the retail sector, we took over the project management for the interim segmentation and project rescue of cash register systems. We carried out crisis management, prioritized tasks, replanned the project, managed it operationally, introduced project management standards, motivated employees and managed resources.

We developed a consensus-based project plan for a project in the automotive industry. We strengthened cooperation through regular telephone conferences, drew up transparent task lists, involved the works councils and coordinated the international rollout plan.

In the telecommunications sector, we managed a project for call recording and audio analysis in the call center. We drew up task lists, requested deadline commitments and status reports, created checklists for efficient reporting, a central configuration baseline and carried out quality monitoring and business performance management.

We managed an innovation project for loading technology in container logistics. We held preliminary discussions on the objectives, examined the technology in meetings, drew up logistical concepts, carried out performance calculations and profitability analyses and validated the concept in workshops.

Duration of assignment: 10 months

We planned the project with MS Project, created work package descriptions, tracked cross-location tasks, created weekly status reports, carried out project controlling, documented transparently and coached the employees.
